Andrew Black Design was formed in 2002 and has grown in to a successful practice based on its achievements in design led projects. Andrew Black Design has experience in many building and design types including housing, speculative and individual designs for new build and existing dwellings. Our commercial work includes office buildings, workshops, nightclubs and bar design. We are now gaining a reputation for providing environmental solutions in the continually energy demanding times we live in; an important service for forward thinking businesses and organisations.

Andrew Black Design are currently active participants in the Dundee Institute of Architects Continuing Professional Development lectures, and also have a policy of attending and participating in CPD as an ongoing staff development process. Throughout the office we use the architectural office and drawing management software ‘Archetype’ which allows us to provide in-house quality assurance for our administration procedures. On our fully networked computer system various software packages such as Autocad, Sketch-up, Photoshop and NBS, allow us to provide up to date information in a clear and concise manner, to cover all clients needs. 

We are subscribers to RIAS practice services and Andrew Black is a council member of Dundee Institute of Architects and sits on the Practice Services Committee of the Royal Incorporation of Architects Scotland.
